Pet Cremation
At Resting Paws, we only offer individual cremations. This means your pet is cremated on their own, and the ashes you receive are only those of your beloved pet.
Choosing the right farewell for your pet can feel overwhelming, especially during such an emotional time. On this page, you’ll find everything you need to know about our cremation service, including what to expect, what is provided, and the choices available to you.
Your Pet’s Journey
When you’re ready, the first step is to get in touch. Whether you’re planning ahead or your pet has already passed away, you can contact us by phone, email or text—whatever feels most comfortable for you. We know this can be an emotional conversation, so we’ll take the time to listen, answer your questions and understand your wishes, including helping you choose any memorials if you wish.
While our farewell room is being created, we currently offer collection from your home or veterinary practice. We only ever collect one pet at a time, allowing us to give your pet our full attention from the moment they come into our care. They are then transported directly to Resting Paws in our dedicated vehicle.
Your pet’s individual cremation usually takes place within 24 hours. We remain with your pet throughout. Afterwards, their ashes are carefully prepared together with your chosen memorials, a certificate of cremation and a hand-crafted, personalised memorial box made especially for your pet.
Finally, we’ll arrange a convenient time to return your pet’s ashes to you. Once our reception is open, you’ll also be welcome to collect your pet’s ashes from Resting Paws by appointment.
